In 2008, thirteen years after the confidential M3 E36, BMW finally added to its catalogue the possibility of a compact berline with the M initials. Although its general style takes strongly from the standard 3 series, it is in actual fact a completely different car that we are dealing with, starting with its nose which borrows the exact look from the E92 Coupé. Inevitably, the double-branched wing mirrors find their place on the car, while the four exhaust ports assure us that we are certainly a far cry from a simple 3 series. Mechanically, the berline borrows from its coupé counterpart the melodious V8 with its 420hp: suffice it to say, the performance of this car is certainly not lacking.
