However, Porsche is not one to rest on their laurels and brought about a number of evolutions to the car that would become the type 911. In order to satisfy American norms, it was equipped with a new set of bumpers, and the overall design is more modern. Even though the car was meant to be new, Porsche took care not to shock their existing clientele with too many changes.
